You can only build well on strong foundations - if you think about it, this is true in every area of life, from learning to architecture to dressing. Most of us would like to have a 'good' wardrobe, a wardrobe full of clothes that look good, are comfortable, made from natural materials, will stand up in many situations, don't make us fidget when we wear them and, if possible, are sustainably sourced.
Building such a wardrobe always starts with the basics, which are essential for every woman. They're the first items we reach for when we want to feel good in our outfits for the day, from morning meetings to evening outings with girlfriends, and they're also the ones we end up with on days when we get that "I don't have a dress to wear" feeling. They work on their own and paired with the most extreme pieces.
In English, "hero pieces" are clothes that can be dressed "down" as well as "up", i.e. depending on the shoes, bag, accessories and our make-up and hairstyle, they can be worn for a casual weekend program, at work or even for a more formal event. For us at NONPLUS, our goal from the beginning was to create just such pieces, with the added bonus that we also placed a high priority on using eco- and leather-friendly materials and responsible, domestic manufacturing practices.

The BASIC collection doesn't follow trends, but rather represents the continuity of the NONPLUS range (you'll find pieces that are more responsive to current fashion and seasonal changes in our NEW IN - seasonal collection), offering basic styles in basic colours, made from the brand's trademark super-comfortable premium cotton fabric.
Of course, the basic piece does not mean the same thing to everyone. There are many things that can influence exactly what we think of as clothes: from our age and body type, to the demands of our job or workplace, to our personal dressing style. For some people, it's really the simplest tailored, cleanest tops and skirts or trousers that form the basis of their dressing, while for others, a dress or jumpsuit with a little bit of a twist still falls into this category.
The above mentioned little twist is the other main feature of the BASIC collection and NONPLUS, because just because a garment is not looking to stand out, it is still important that it helps to highlight the personality of the wearer. The subtle but recognisable details, from asymmetric cuts to unique necklines and the sleeves with thumbhole cuts at the ends, help to achieve this.
